Gbadegesin Alawode is a social entrepreneur, innovator and public health specialist working at the intersection of technology, health and development to drive lasting social impact. Gbadegesin is the Founder of VoiceIT, a social enterprise that leverages technology to increase reporting of SGBV and connect survivors to needed services- providers, experts and information. Gbadegesin has over 10 years of experience designing, leading and managing high-impact technology innovations and projects, aimed at solving pressing local public health and developmental challenges affecting millions of people.Gbadegesin is a recipient of the 2014 State National Youth Service Corps Award in Katsina State; Women Deliver 2016 Scholarship Copenhagen, Denmark; fellow of the 2017 Dutch-Nigerian Student Business Challenge, Netherlands; 2018 Future Leaders Connect Nigeria finalist; 2021 Orange Corners Incubatee and 2022 Alumni Ambassador of the Orange Corners Nigeria programme. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Anatomy, Master’s degree in Public Health majoring in Health Policy and Management; certificates in Entrepreneurship from Delft University of Technology and Orange Corners Programme, Fate Foundation.
